During his visit to Mianyang City, Mr. Wu Lebin, Chairman of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Holdings Co., Ltd. (CASH), met with Mr. Peng Yuxing, Secretary of the Mianyang Municipal Committee, on March 14. The two parties had an in-depth exchange of views on further leveragingtheir respective advantages, enhancing pragmatic communication and cooperation, and realizing mutually beneficial results.

Mr. Peng Yuxing welcomed Mr. Wu Lebin and other delegates on behalf of the Municipal Party Committee and Government. Mr. Peng said thatCASHhas long been concerned and supportive with the development of Mianyang by providing a great deal of concrete assistance in aspects such as technology industrialization and the development of the science and technology industry. The ‘Mianyang Circular Economy Industrial Park’ project, jointly implemented by the two parties, is running smoothly. Mianyang is currently speeding up in building the “national technology city” and the “happy and beautiful Mianyang,” which is an excellent opportunity for both parties to deepen cooperation.He hopes that the two parties will work together to carry out more pragmatic cooperation in building a green city and a smart city, and achieve win-win results for all.

Chairman Wu introduced the CASH Interactive Innovation Initiative and the idea of promoting the development of strategic emerging industries. He said that CASH’s investments focus on new generation information technology, high-end equipment manufacturing, environmental protection and new materials, and healthcare. Mianyang is a science and technology city, and its development direction agrees with CASH’s industrial distribution. He stated that CASH will utilize its advantages in technology industrialization, management and operation of intellectual property, and human resources, to continue expanding the cooperation schemes through projects designed to boost social and economic development and add dynamism to the city.
