China-U.K. Technological Innovation and Transfer Seminar was held by Chinese Academy of Sciences Holdings Co., Ltd. (CASH) and China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) in Beijing from November 30th to December 1st, 2015. The Chairman of CASH, Wu Lebin and the Director of CBBC, Kirk Wilson respectively gave a speech on strategic importance of bilateral cooperation. The two parties signed a memorandum to jointly promote the China-U.K. technological innovation and cooperation.
The officers of the Bureau of Science & Technology for Development of Chinese Academy of Sciences, British intellectual property rights officials, and experts from McKinsey Global Institute, Technology Transfer Department of University of Oxford, Shenzhen Chinese Academy of Sciences Intellectual Property (CASIP) Investment Co., Ltd., Sinoipro IP Management and Technology Transfer Co., Ltd., and AnJie Law Firm were invited to give reports on the management and operation of intellectual property. The representatives from the two parties exchanged the knowledge and expertise over intellectual property, technological innovation and transfer, discussed the mechanism of the cooperation between technological innovation and transfer between the two countries. The guests also discussed in-depth the differences between China-U.K. innovation and entrepreneurship models, market trends, preferential policies and opportunities, closer cooperation of China-U.K. in incubator and financing, creation of China-U.K. sustainable development platform for technological innovation and transfer.
The seminar was aimed to further promoting the creation of China-U.K. incubator and innovation center, the transfer of technological innovation and cooperation on intellectual property and technological transfer. The conference was effective and informative. The representatives from the two parties reached a consensus on the creation of China-U.K. sustainable development platform and technological innovation and cooperation.
The officers of China Prosperity Fund from UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office, British Embassy, Torch High Technology Industry Development Center Ministry of Science and Technology China, Beijing Municipal science & technology commissions, the Bureau of International Cooperation of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Bureau of Science of Technology for Development of CAS addressed the meeting on related topics. About 70 representatives from China and UK universities, scientific research institutes, Sci-Tech Parks and technological transfer institutions participated in this seminar.
