Sixteen delegates led by Mr. Xiao Yi, Secretary of the Fuzhou (Jiangxi) Municipal Committee, visited the Chinese Academy of Sciences Holdings Co., Ltd. (CASH) on March 1. Mr. Wu Lebin, CASH Chairman, greeted the guests. Mr. Wang Qi and Mr. Chen Xiaofeng, CASH Vice Presents, Mr. Duan Anan, Chairman of CAS Health Holdings, Mr. Guan Hongming, CEO of Sugon Information Industry Co., Ltd., and other relevant personnel attended the meeting.

Mr. Wu introduced the development of CASH, focusing on businesses in the science and finance area. He discussed promoting share reform to get companies listed, developing the fund investment-based investment and financing platform, preparing for the establishment of the science and technology investment bank, and insurance. He expressed the willingness to actively promote cooperation between CASH affiliated companies and local governments to build green cities, healthy cities, and smart cities, and carry out in-depth cooperation in green agriculture and  the incubation of scientific and technological achievements.

Mr. Xiao Yi briefly introduced the status quo and future development strategies in Fuzhou City. He said that green development of Fuzhou must rely on scientific and technological strength, internet thinking, and modern financial instruments. CAS, as the ‘aircraft carrier’ of the scientific community in China, has the most cutting-edge technology, and CASH has a solid strength and experience in technology industrialization. He sincerely hopes that CASH will give full play to its strength in science and technology, the talent pool, capital, and other areas, and actively participate in the social and economic development of Fuzhou City.

The two parties had in-depth exchanges on how to implement the ‘innovation-driven’ strategy to promote the green rise and development of Fuzhou, and agreed to leverage their own strengths to cooperate in the following eight sectors, namely biomedicine, electronics, health, modern agriculture, cultural and creative media, smart city, a city of innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as the Lenovo College Fuzhou classes. The two parties will work together to settle major projects, including the smart city data centre and the pensioner health check base in Fuzhou as soon as possible.

On March 2, Mr. Chen Xiaofeng attended the ‘2016 Fuzhou, Jiangxi Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum’ in Beijing, on behalf of CAS, Sugon, the CAS Institute of Architecture Design and Research, CAS Health Holding and other enterprises, and signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Fuzhou City.
